Calliseum is an integrated voice&fax processing platform for
MS Windows NT/2000/XP. It's a turn-key solution having a rich set
of features that incorporate such well-known and popular
CT services such as:
Artix Calliseum software works with analog (loop start) and digital (E1, ISDN PRI) interface
Dialogic and Brooktrout voice and fax processing boards and Gammalink fax boards
and is a reliable multithreaded, multitasking application that runs on the
top of Dialogic System Software and Brooktrout API and designed with a thread controlling each
voice channel (the synchronous programming model is supported). Artix Calliseum
has the client/server architecture and its internal database structure is based
on the InterBase 6.0 SQL-server.
In the telephony platform there are a lot of important technologies such as Unified Messaging, Remote Database Access (MIDAS),
Text-to-Speech, MAPI, which are included for full telephony functionality
and easy integration with email services (MS Exchange, Lotus Notes, GroupWise etc.).
Calliseum main window
Telephony platform Calliseum consists of several main utilities, which are included in every system based on the platform:
- System Administrator
- Call manager
- Database repair
- Voice recorder
- Auto-Importer
- Log-files browser
- Outbound call queue manager
System Administrator
This module provides database administration (subscribers settings and personal mailboxes),
gives the ability to set up a variety of board settings and to specify
which telephony services correspond to different board channels.
Call manager
This module is solely responsible for calls processing both inbound and outbound.
Call Manager runs various telephony services on the board channels as
specified in the Administrator module.
Database repair
This is an utility that verifies, archives and restructures data pool in
case of the database crash.
Voice recorder
This is a utility that allows recording voice messages in VOX or WAV format.
To record a new message just make a call at any extension connected to a board port.
This could be useful in case you want replace some of the system prompts.
Auto-Importer
This is an utility that automatically imports data from external databases
and ASCII text-files. For example you wish the information on
the subscribers to be updated each 5 minutes. All you have to
do is to specify links between the fields of internal and external
datasets and time interval between consecutive database queries.
Log-files browser
This utility allows administrator to look through system log files made by various modules and utilities
of Calliseum.
Outbound call queue manager
This utility allows administrator to look through and edit the outbound calls queue.
Telephony platform Calliseum is supplied with some standard prompts such as voice and fax mail,
auto-informer, small banking system etc.
